BIOGRAPHY
Juanita (Nita) Thomas was born July 25, 1940, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. At an early age, after attending a Christmas party, (sponsored by Lily #33 and IOOF), with her aunt, she knew one day she would sit in those "Big Chairs" and be a "Rebekah". Upon graduating from Salmon High School, she married Will (Bill) Thomas on May 27, 1958. They moved to Gooding, Idaho in 1962, where they owned and operated a dairy and farm until 1992. Thanks to another aunt, in May 1964, Juanita joined Marguerite No. 98 Rebekah Lodge in Gooding. Raising 4 children, calves and other duties, she still found time to be a Theta Rho Advisor and was Noble Grand in 1980. She has been involved in 4-H, PTA, church, community and lodge functions. Juanita and Will have 4 children, Patricia, John, Janet, and Cindy. 8 grand children and 8 great grand children. After retirement they moved back to Salmon. Juanita belongs to Anna No. 14 and IOOF No. 5 in Salmon and associate member of Silver Leaf No. 27, Challis; Idaho No. 96, Wendell; and Syringa No. 110, Jerome. Juanita enjoys crafts, reading, and growing roses. She collects cookie jars and cookbooks, among other things. We invite everyone to come visit, the "latch is always open".
